Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Caret ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Caret. "You" refers to the individual or entity using the Service.

Caret is an AI-assisted product decision platform. It helps founders, product managers, and teams capture product signals, generate insights, prioritize opportunities, and produce actionable briefs.

The Service includes AI-generated content (summaries, insights, recommendations, briefs). AI outputs are provided as decision support — they are not professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating and acting on any AI-generated content.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at 1medotube@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to Caret (captures, projects, insights, briefs, feedback, documents, and other materials). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service — including sending content to AI providers to generate summaries, insights, and recommendations on your behalf.

We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not permit AI providers to use your content for model training.

Caret allows you to create public feedback portals where third parties can submit feedback about your product. You are responsible for how you use feedback collected through your portal, including compliance with applicable data protection laws regarding submitter information.

You may generate a public link to share a brief. Shared briefs are accessible to anyone with the link. You can revoke access at any time. We are not responsible for content viewed or copied by others before you revoke access.

Caret offers a free trial and paid subscription plans. Plan details, limits, and pricing are described on our website and may change with notice.

• Free trial: new accounts receive a 7-day free trial with access to core features. No payment information is required to start a trial.
• Paid plans: subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor. You authorize recurring charges for your chosen plan.
• Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
• Plan limits: each plan has limits on projects, captures, and other features. Exceeding limits may require upgrading your plan.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable burden on the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without written permission.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains malware, or violates applicable law.
• Abuse AI features (e.g., using Caret to generate spam or misleading content at scale).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

The Caret name, logo, brand, and application code are our intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our branding except as needed to use the Service (e.g., "Powered by Caret" on feedback portals).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caret and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You use them at your own risk and are solely responsible for decisions made based on those outputs.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will delete your data within 30 days of account closure, except where retention is required by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the application or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where Caret operates. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to the competent courts in our jurisdiction.
